Topsham Fun Tournement 2011

This popular annual event took place during the first week in August and with eighteen teams taking part. There were many colourful team names such as Dolphin Exiles, Scooby Doo’s, Ross’s Tarts and One Pratt plus Three.
The rain kept off and much light hearted fun and laughter could be heard around the green. Winners and highest runners up on the first three evenings reduced the number of teams left in to just eight. The quarter finals took place on Thursday and the semi finals and final on Friday. The winning team was Peter Gale’s Scooby Doo’s and the runner up was the Con Men. An excellent Hog Roast was provided and enjoyed by all the teams who had taken part during the week and many of their supporters. We are indebted to The Station Garage and Topsham News who very generously sponsored this event and to Molson Coors who donated many of the draw prizes. Report Sue Bendell

Men's Final League & Trophy Table

Topsham slipped up in the County Trophy Game at Crediton and this cost us the County Trophy. A sloppy finish at Pinces followed when the title had gone. We are getting closer but need to maintain our focus for all games.
2012 could be our year?

Topsham Ladies Invitation Triples Tournament
Played on Sunday 19th June 2011
Our two sponsors were:-
The Globe Hotel Topsham and Mortimores General Store Topsham
We are very grateful for their continued support.
The game was played in good weather and good spirit with 24 ladies triples playing in 2 sessions.
There were teams from all over the county with some teams having played in the tournament for over 15 years and they seemed to enjoy it as much now as they did then. With lunch and tea provided and served by our hardworking catering team it was a very successful day, especially for the following teams

1st Beryl Leach & Co (Torbay Country Club BC)
2nd Annette Flockhart & Co (Madeira B C Exmouth)
3rd Margaret Parr & Co (St Thomas B C Exeter)

The event was organised and run by Sue Bendell and her team.
Thank you to all those who took part and all who supported and helped.
We hope to see you all again in 2012
